Finding Steady Ground: Nervous System Regulation Tools to Survive Abusive Divorce
If you’re trying to survive a divorce from an abusive or coercively controlling partner, your nervous system has likely been working overtime. This session offers practical, body-based tools that can help you find a little more steady ground in your day-to-day life.
They will start with some psychoeducation on how the nervous system responds to chronic stress and trauma, then guide the group through practicing several regulation tools together. Corynne will also share parts of her own story and demonstrate how she uses these tools herself. Toward the end of the session, Corynne and Cameron will be available for Q&A if you’d like support thinking through how these tools might apply to your own situation.
